Users Roles in KAPTO Models

In KAPTO, user permissions are assigned based on their user role. There are five types of User Roles linked to any specific KAPTO Model:

  1. Administrator: The administrator is an extra Model Role. The administrator is authorised to access all models, create new models, delete KAPTO Models, and manage KAPTO Models set-up like adding new members, assigning a Role to a user, and other administrative tasks. An administrator can also create a new Category in KAPTO and add a new User.
  1. Manager: They are responsible for overseeing the AI models, adding, or removing users to a model with a specific role, managing schema configurations, and performing related tasks without any restrictions. The manager is selected during KAPTO Model creation, and it can be modified at any moment by editing the Model.
  1. Analyst: The analyst is a user who can only generate the training data, which means being able to upload documents, open documents, specify some requirements and train KAPTO Models. For example, in Extraction Models, Analyst could assign a specific field from an Entity to a particular region on the page (assigning a Tag to something in the document); in Classification Models, Analyst can split a document into multiple pages (a Split-out process).
  1. Proofreader: They have more limited access than Analysts, but the Administrator can grant them additional access if necessary.  The proofreader can work on the documents that have been moved to the Verification section of the KAPTO models and make corrections during the training and production phases, verify the result generated by the AI and make corrections where necessary.
  1. Viewer: The viewers can see the results of a process for a specific document; it means they can see the document and which kind of result is created by the AI or amended by the user. Viewers can view the documentation in its final state but cannot change it.
