This article provides a guide on how to create a new KAPTO model. It covers everything: Model Details, Document Loader, and Model Description. Following this guide, you can set up a KAPTO model that meets your needs and gain valuable insights from your documents.
Creating a new KAPTO model is feasible by following these steps:
MODEL DETAILS STEP:
Go to Management > Models.
Click the New Model button.
Fill out the Model Name field with the desired name for your model. The name given to a KAPTO model concerning uniquely identifying from other models; may contain a naming convention based on elements essential to the model designation.
Add relevant Tags to the model to make it easier to search and categorise. Assign tags to describe a KAPTO model to be retrieved by searching.
Choose a Model Manager responsible for managing the model. Model Manager oversees the AI models, adds or removes models, manages schema configurations, and performs related tasks without restrictions.
Note: Changing Model Manager by editing the KAPTO model will be possible.
When configuring a model, you can choose its status from "Operational" or "In Training." The "Operational" status indicates that the model is fully trained and ready for its intended purpose. On the other hand, "In Training" status means that the model is still undergoing training and is not yet ready for use.
Choose the Model Type based on your needs. For instance, if you need to create a new Classification model, select the Classification checkbox (the KAPTO Classification Model concludes from the input values given for training. The model identifies the categories into which new data will fall into various classes. Classification can be performed on structured or unstructured data). On the other hand, if you want to extract data from documents, choose Extraction Model Type.
In addition, you can determine if you will detect a Table by checking Table Detection (The extraction phase is implicated in a traditional OCR recognition process. However, the entities are structured in rows and columns instead), or a Form, by clicking Form Detection field (Used to extract text, key-value pairs, tables, and structures from documents automatically and accurately). If you need both, it is possible to check both areas.
You can also choose a preprocessing field for pre-processing images: by selecting the Dewarp button, if the image scanning is distorted, it will be automatically straightened; by choosing the Auto Rotate button if the image has been scanned horizontally, it will be automatically rotated vertically to facilitate future viewing and reading.
In the Other Options field, you can enable summarization in a newly created KAPTO Model by marking the checkbox for Summarization (for more information about Summarization, please read the “Summarization in Kapto Models set-up” article). Clicking the summarization button will open a window where you can write an inquiry phrase and then click the Save button to save.
You can choose a Template. (For more information about Templates, please read the SET-UP> Category > “Template” article).
Note: If a template is attached, all documents coming in this model belong to the same template
After doing all these passages, Click the Next button and proceed to the Documentation Loader.
DOCUMENTS LOADER STEP
After Model Details, you can proceed to the Document Loader step.
In the Inbox email address, you can link an e-mail address to the KAPTO Model, which may be used for adding the model’s documents. This is not a mandatory action; there is indeed the option to skip it by selecting the ignore email body checkbox.
Choose an SFTP address and SFTP Password.
You can also select Enable and Generate APIkey button. Please read the article “API in KAPTO Model” for more information about API.
Now you can select the Next button and go to the next step (Model description) or click the Previous button to return to Model Details.
MODEL DESCRIPTION STEP
The model description provides a comprehensive overview of the KAPTO AI model, including a summary, features, and relevant model information. This should give a clear understanding of the model's function, architecture, and capabilities.
Edit the model description in KAPTO. Here are a few tips and best practices to help you create a compelling and engaging report:
Summarise the Model: Start by summarising what your model does. This can be a one-sentence description or a short paragraph that outlines the main functionality of your model.
Use Headings and Subheadings: Use headings and subheadings to break up the description into easily digestible sections to understand the different components of your KAPTO model.
Highlight Key Features: Make sure to highlight the key features and capabilities of the KAPTO model. This can help others understand the strengths and limitations of your model and give them a better idea of how they can use your model to solve their problems.
Now, you can complete the process by clicking Create button.
Note: You can always return to the previous stage by clicking the Previous button.
